Reasons to choose Tabuchi Butsushindo
We offer advice on Buddhist altars and Buddhist accessories, from choosing the right product for your sect and purpose to providing you with advice on etiquette.
Tabuchi Butsushindo aims to be a "Buddhist altar and Buddhist equipment store you can consult with confidence, by listening to any questions or concerns you may have. Our staff has specialized knowledge and will provide you with careful support, from how to choose a Buddhist altar and Buddhist equipment to the customs of each sect and how to pray daily. We will help you hold a peaceful Buddhist ceremony by making optimal suggestions based on each individual's faith and purpose.
For example, do you have any of these concerns?
I am having trouble because I don't know how to set up the Buddhist altar, how to handle the Buddhist implements, or the proper etiquette for memorial services.
The traditions and meanings of Buddhist altars and Buddhist implements vary by sect, and you may be unsure of how to store prayer beads or handle incense during daily visits to the temple or during memorial services. For example, a rotating incense burner is not required for memorial services, and can be flexibly adapted depending on the sect and local customs. We will also provide you with basic information such as the orientation of the altar and whether or not it has a principal image. We will provide easy-to-understand advice tailored to each customer's faith and environment, so please feel free to consult us.
I want to start preparing for the end of my life, but how should I go about it?
In recent years, more and more people are reconsidering the way they plan their graves and memorial services early on as part of their end-of-life planning. There are costs and procedures for entrusting Buddhist altar items and remains to a temple, and there are also many different types of memorial services, such as eternal memorial services and three-generation memorial services. At our store, we will carefully explain the general market price, the procedure, and how to choose a reliable temple or cemetery. We will also provide easy-to-understand support for any worries or financial concerns you may have as you look to the future, so please feel free to contact us.
I would like to know basic things like proper etiquette for special occasions.
Gifts for celebrations and condolences have rules for each occasion, such as Mizuhiki, Noshi, Incense envelopes, and Kinpaku fukusa. For example, the color, knotting method, and inscription on the envelope vary depending on the recipient and purpose, so it is necessary to avoid inappropriate combinations. At our store, we will carefully explain these etiquette for celebrations and condolences, from the basics to the more advanced, and provide practical advice. Please rest assured that we will support you in choosing the best combination and gift for your situation.
